Little Red Riding Hood
A quiet meeting in the forest, a basket filled with small treasures, and the feeling that every winding path holds a story waiting to be discovered. Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood by the Brothers Grimm, this illustration captures the gentle wonder of one of the world’s most beloved fairy tales—where curiosity, courage, and imagination walk hand in hand.
Created for the Seasons Lamp, these illustrated sheets are made to be returned to, year after year. Once the lamp is lit, the artwork begins to glow softly, filling your home with a quiet warmth that gently invites you to pause, look a little closer, and lose yourself in the story.
This illustration is one of my designs for the Seasons Lamp—a beloved wooden lamp created to display interchangeable illustrated sheets throughout the year. As the light shines through the artwork, familiar stories take on a gentle new life, inviting moments of stillness and imagination in every season.
Inspired by the timeless fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, this illustration celebrates the magic of the old storybooks many of us grew up with—where forests were filled with mystery, animals seemed to understand every whispered word, and even the smallest journey could become an unforgettable adventure. Like those cherished books, this artwork is meant to become part of your family’s traditions, returning each season to bring a little wonder into everyday life.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairy tales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
