Product description

When the whole world was asleep and the house had grown quiet, I sometimes wondered what would happen if I slipped outside. What if the night was not something to be afraid of, but something waiting?

In “Midnight Adventure,” a small gnome child sets out beneath a sky full of stars. He rides on the back of a gentle bear, warm and solid beneath him. They move slowly through the dark forest — as if the night itself knows them.

This illustration grew from a simple childhood longing: to step outside at night and discover that the darkness was nothing more but a friendly andventure. In my imagination, a bear would be there to walk beside me — calm, steady, and warm — turning the unknown into something safe.

“Midnight Adventure” is a postcard about that secret longing for after-dark journeys — about trust, closeness, and the soft courage that only appears when the world is still.

A kind piece for seasonal tables, thoughtful notes, or for anyone who once imagined stepping into the night and discovering it was full of quiet friendship.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
