Product description

Pumpkin Glow – Autumn Postcard

On a crisp autumn evening, as the last leaves have drift down and dusk settles softly between the trees, a child walks through the forest holding a glowing pumpkin lantern. Its warm light flickers against small hands and bright eyes.

A kind fox friend stays close and a squirrel watches in wonder. “Pumpkin Glow” was created as an ode to the wonder on children’s faces during lantern walks — that mixture of pride and awe when they carry their own handmade light through the dark. The world feels larger, deeper, and somehow kinder in that golden glow.

This postcard honours the quiet beauty of lantern season and St. Martin’s Day — the simple ritual of singing and walking together, each child guarding a small circle of light.

A gentle piece for autumn mail, seasonal tables, or as a reminder that even the smallest lantern can shine brightly in the night. This card is also part of the Waldorf postcard set of 12, celebrating the 12 yearly festivals. You can find the set here.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
