On a fallen tree in the quiet of an autumn night, four small woodland friends sit close together. A fox watches attentively. A hedgehog rests beside him. Two mice lift their faces toward the drifting leaves. Moonlight settles softly over the forest. One leaf after another loosens from the branches and turns slowly through the air. There is nothing to do but watch.
I created “Wonder Fall” from those evenings when autumn feels almost luminous — when the air is still and the falling leaves seem deliberate, as if the season itself is moving in slow rhythm. A gentle postcard for autumn correspondence, seasonal tables, or to share with someone who finds beauty in small, quiet moments.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
