This illustration was created for the moment just before sleep, when the world loosens its rules and anything still feels possible.
In the hush of a twilight forest, a barn owl glides low above a forest field. Silent and steady, it carries a little child on its back — not as an escape, but as a promise. Below them, the earth listens. Above them, the night opens gently, stitched with dreams yet to come.
Dreamflight was created from a deep belief that childhood wonder never truly leaves us. That there is a place — especially at dusk — where imagination and the natural world meet, and where we are allowed to trust what cannot be explained. It is the kind of story you feel more than you understand.
This piece is for you if you remember lying awake, convinced the night was alive with secret journeys. If you love owls, forests, and the quiet magic that lives between waking and dreaming. It belongs in spaces where rest and reverie are welcome — a bedroom, a nursery, or a corner where the day is gently laid down.
Let Dreamflight remind you that wonder does not disappear as we grow. It simply waits for evening, and for someone willing to believe again.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
