Step into a storybook world with Woodland Tales, a handcrafted postcard lamp that brings soft light and quiet wonder into your home. Framed in richly oiled walnut wood and wrapped in a sturdy woven fabric, this lamp glows with the warmth of forest magic, displaying four interchangeable art cards that celebrate the charm of woodland life.
Each postcard tells a gentle tale: a curious fox and rabbit beneath falling autumn leaves, a sleeping fox nestled among toadstools, a squirrel perched on a mushroom under the moonlight, and a thoughtful badger greeting a bird in the hush of the woods. Illustrated in warm, earthy tones, the cards invite stillness, story, and seasonal rhythm.
Lovingly crafted with precision and care by the skilled artisans of Het Houtlokael, a local wood workshop in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, this lamp is a celebration of nature, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty. Whether lighting up a nightstand, seasonal table, or celebration nook, Woodland Tales becomes a cherished part of your home—a poetic blend of light and woodland wonder.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
