Four unlikely friends, each searching for a new beginning, discover that courage and companionship can carry them further than they ever imagined. Inspired by The Bremen Town Musicians by the Brothers Grimm, this illustration celebrates one of the most beloved fairy tales about friendship, hope, and finding strength together.
Created for the Seasons Lamp, these illustrated sheets are made to be returned to, year after year. Once the lamp is lit, the artwork begins to glow softly, filling your home with a quiet warmth that gently invites you to pause, look a little closer, and lose yourself in the story.
This illustration is one of my designs for the Seasons Lamp—a beloved wooden lamp created to display interchangeable illustrated sheets throughout the year. As the light shines through the artwork, familiar stories take on a gentle new life, inviting moments of stillness and imagination in every season.
Inspired by the timeless fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, this illustration celebrates the magic of the old storybooks many of us grew up with—where animals could speak, adventures waited just beyond the next village, and kindness was often the greatest strength of all. Like those cherished books, this artwork is meant to become part of your family’s traditions, returning each season to bring a little wonder into everyday life.
Build your own collection of illustrated Seasons Lamp Sheets, inspired by the timeless fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen. Each artwork tells a different story, bringing the magic of classic storybooks into your home, one glowing illustration at a time.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairy tales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
