Product description

“Little Shepherds” Postcard – A Tender Glimpse of Christmas Eve

What if the shepherds were children?

What if that quiet winter night was first seen through young eyes — wide with wonder, unsure of what they were witnessing, but certain that something gentle and important had entered the world?

In this illustration, a small group of children stands beneath the night sky, their lamb close beside them. Their cloaks are simple, their cheeks flushed.. Above them, a bright star holds steady in the dark. They are not grand figures. They are simply present — watching, listening, feeling the hush of the night settle around them.

I created “Little Shepherds” as a tender imagining of Christmas Eve through the eyes of children: not as a grand proclamation, but as a quiet moment of light discovered in the cold.

A gentle postcard for Advent and Christmastide, for seasonal tables, or for anyone who prefers the story held softly, in small hands.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
