There was once a seamstress who lived in a little stone cottage at the edge of the woods. By day she kept her house in order, fed the cats, and gathered yarn into baskets. But when evening came, she lit her lamp, opened the window, and stitched the stars into the sky. One by one they appeared, as if the night itself had been waiting for her gentle hand. The cats watched quietly, for they knew this was important work.
This postcard of The Seamstress of Stars captures that tender moment, full of homely warmth and quiet wonder. Send it as a letter to someone you love, tuck it into a seasonal display, or keep it close as a reminder that magic often begins in small, everyday places.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
