Product description

A Berry Tale – Autumn Postcard

At the edge of autumn, when the light turns softer and the hedgerows grow heavy with fruit, a young gnome reaches carefully into the brambles. Late blackberries stain his fingers and clothes dark. His bird friend waits, watches and is patient of the fruit that they will gather.

There is something tender about these last foraging days — gathering what remains before the season closes. The air is cooler. The colours deeper. Every berry feels a little more precious.

I created “A Berry Tale” with those quiet harvest moments in mind, and with a gentle nod to the illustrators I have long loved, such as Elsa Beskow and Cicely Mary Barker, whose work made the natural world feel intimate and alive.

A lovely postcard for autumn nature tables, seasonal displays, or to send as a thoughtful note.

Whether nestled among autumn leaves or slipped inside a gift, A Berry Tale is a celebration of the quiet, fruitful moments that make fall so beloved.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
