In the soft light of early spring, a little girl walks through the forest with a basket on her arm, unhurried, in search of Easter eggs. Among moss and daisies, small surprises are waiting — carefully painted eggs, a flutter of wings, perhaps a rabbit who knows exactly where to look. A bird rests on her hat, calm and attentive, as if keeping her company along the way.
This illustrated postcard was created to celebrate Easter in its quiet, natural form — a time of new life, gentle discovery, and simple joy. Rooted in Waldorf tradition, it honours the awakening of the earth, the returning light, and the pleasure of finding what has been lovingly hidden. A small reminder that Easter, like spring itself, does not rush — it reveals itself step by step.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
