This illustration was made for evenings that linger — when the day has softened, and the world feels like an invite to sing.
In a moonlit forest, a small fire crackles between old friends. A bear strums his guitar, not for applause, but for togetherness. Two badgers by his side, a fox leans in, a squirrel sits still for once, and beside them a child rests in the glow — so very welcomed, not questioned. Fireflies drift through the air, and tiny lights hang between the trees, as if the forest itself wants to stay awake a little longer.
This piece was created as a reminder for warmth that doesn’t hurry. For believers in stories that are best shared softly, with others nearby, and that music does not need words to be understood. It is for those moments when you want to remember how it feels to belong — to nature, to a circle, to a season.
Campfire Song was created while thinking of the warm months: long evenings, shared songs, and the quiet magic that happens when no one needs to be anything more than present. With the comfort of friendship, the gentle joy of being together under an open sky.
Place this print where you gather, rest, or dream — in a reading corner, a child’s room, or a place where stories are welcome. Let it remind you that even in a wide and busy world, there is always room for a small fire, a shared song, and a moment that feels like home.
And that sometimes, that is all the magic you need.

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.
Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.
My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
