Product description

This illustration was painted for those whol long for the moments when the world feels loud and you could use some softness.

Deep in the forest, where the trees stand close and the light moves gently between them, a woodland child has grown sleepy. A fox settles beside them, warm and steady, and with a careful sweep of its tail, wraps the child in quiet protection. Mushrooms rise like small shelters from the earth, and the birds lower their voices, as if they know this rest is important.

This secene was painted from a wish to hold a feeling many of us search for — the feeling of being completely safe, held, and allowed to rest. A place where imagination can wander without fear, and where nothing is expected of you but to breathe.

This piece is for you if you crave calm, if you find comfort in forests, animals, and unspoken kindness. It belongs wherever you want to soften the day — in a child’s room, a quiet corner, or a place where you return to yourself.

Let this woodland slumber remind you that gentleness still exists. That rest is allowed.
And that somewhere, always, there is a warm tail, a quiet forest, and a moment just for you.

MEET ME

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
