Product description

High in the snow-dusted branches of the willow branches, two little chickadees perch close, scarves tucked snug beneath their beaks. The air is crisp, the world hushed — but these feathered friends are full of chatter. With eyes like tiny stars and hearts warmed by friendship, they share secrets with the trees, with the wind, and most of all, with each other.

Chickadees Chat is a love letter to the quiet joy of winter days — the hush before snowfall, the closeness of kindred feathered spirits, the magic that lingers in the cold. Painted with gouache, coloured pencil, and a flick of black ink, this piece captures the gentlest moments of the season. A comforting addition to your winter home, or a heartfelt gift for those who delight in woodland tales and snowy wonder.

Let these little birds bring you a reminder: even the chilliest days can be full of warmth, if you share them well.

MEET ME

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
