Product description

This illustration was created for the moment when autumn asks you to carry your own light, gently and without fear.

In the stillness of autumn, a child wrapped in mossy green lifts a glowing pumpkin lantern into the evening air. Its warm light does not chase the darkness away — it befriends it, it invites wonder in a child’s eye and perhaps in older children’s eyes as well. Nearby, a fox and a squirrel pause in quiet companionship among fallen leaves and roots, as if the forest itself has joined the celebration.

Pumpkin Glow was created in honour of Michaelmas — the turning point of the year when bravery becomes inward, and light is something you tend rather than receive. It is about walking your lantern forward as the days grow shorter, trusting that even a small flame can guide the way.

This piece is for you if autumn feels like a gathering of strength. If you love seasonal Waldorf inspired rituals, lantern light, and the stories that help us meet the dark with steadiness instead of fear. It belongs on a seasonal table, in a child’s room, or in a place where you pause as the year turns inward.

Let Pumpkin Glow remind you that courage does not need to be loud. Sometimes, it just glows softly in your hands.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
