Product description

This illustration was made with the thought that early spring carries a particular kind of softness — a time when life feels both fragile and full of promise.

In a meadow just beginning to green, a young woman sits quietly in the grass, holding a duckling with care. Around her, lambs, chicks, a hen, and a watchful goose draw near, curious but unafraid. Nothing is hurried. The moment feels held, as if the season itself is paying attention.

You may recognise this feeling. That gentle awareness that comes when something new is beginning, and asks only to be met with care. Tender Beginnings grew from a wish to honour those early stirrings — of trust, renewal, and the quiet bond between human and nature.

With its soft tones and calm presence, this art print brings a sense of warmth and reassurance into a home. It finds its place in springtime spaces, children’s rooms, or wherever beginnings are marked with tenderness.

Let it be a reminder that some stories are felt more than they are told.

IRIS ESTHER

I’m Iris Esther, an illustrator and mother of two, creating illustrated art, art prints, postcards, and small paper goods from my forest-side home studio. With a green birdhouse in the first tree outside my window, I work guided by nature, fairytales, changing seasons and by a deep love for making art by hand.

Growing up, being outside wasn’t a destination but a way of living. My art grew from that same gentle rhythm.

My illustrations are made to quietly support everyday life — bringing a sense of enchantment to family celebrations, seasonal rituals, and small moments that matter.
